The man, who stood solemnly outside the house of his mother on Greylag Street near Jefferson Township Tuesday morning in the hope that both his mother and son were still alive within the house destroyed by fire.
The neighbors came to comfort him with coffee and kind words, but his hope quickly turned into sadness when two bodies, which authorities believed were those of the grandmother and grandson, were discovered in the house.
Early Tuesday morning, the identities of two victims had not been officially released.
