They hoped that the worst was yet to come, as hurricane season is just around the bend.

Cleco said that at its height, about 11 000 customers on the Northshore were left without electricity.

Two power outages occurred in Covington at the same time.

The weather intervened as they attempted to restore power and re-feed the electricity to ensure everyone was able to use it. It was two factors that combined to create a storm.
